Deep tissue and therapeutic massage in Málaga
Knots in your back, a stiff neck, tight shoulders after long hours at the computer… Everyday muscle tension is one of the most common reasons people look for a massage.
The Therapeutic Recovery Massage at Sport Massage Isabelle is a fully personalised deep tissue massage: it focuses on the areas that need it most and combines deep techniques with gentler ones depending on how you feel that day.
You don't need to do sport: it's for anyone who wants to ease tension, move better and switch off.
A massage adapted to what's going on
Each session starts with a short chat: where you feel the tension, since when, what your day-to-day looks like and whether there's anything to avoid.
From there, the pressure and techniques are adapted to you. It may be deeper work on a specific knot, or a more general massage if what you need is to release built-up stress.
Techniques such as cupping, myofascial release and assisted stretching are included when appropriate, at no extra cost.
When can it help?

Deep tissue massage FAQ
What's the difference between a deep tissue and a relaxing massage?
A relaxing massage is mainly about general wellbeing. A deep tissue massage focuses on areas of tension or knots and usually uses more pressure, always adapted to you.
Does deep tissue massage hurt?
It can feel intense in the tightest areas, but it shouldn't hurt too much. The pressure is adjusted throughout the session.
60 or 90 minutes?
60 minutes is usually enough to work on one or two areas, such as the back and neck. 90 minutes allows for a full-body session or areas with a lot of tension.
How often should I have a massage?
It depends on the person. For a specific knot, a few sessions close together can help; for maintenance, many people come once a month. The monthly membership is designed for that.
Can I have a massage if I have an injury or a health condition?
Please mention it before booking. Massage isn't recommended with a fever, infections, very recent injuries with swelling or circulation problems such as thrombosis, and in other cases you may need to check with your doctor first.
